Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

We spent Saturday afternoon making dinner and spending time with Marcus' parent's for their 28th year wedding anniversary! It was a lot of fun and dinner turned out good too. We had a great Valentine's Day Sunday even though Marcus had to work, got up and made pancakes for Sloan and her friends that spent the night, MJ and Linni didn't want pancakes like usual...so they had cereal and apples, went to church and then came home and we started cooking and decorating the house for Marcus. Linni and I made a wonderful lasagna and her and Sloanie made rice krispie treats. (which is a rare occasion for Sloan to help cook) good times, after dinner Sloan's valentine (Griffin) came to watch a movie with us, he seems like a nice and respectful guy. It's so strange and neat to see her maturing into a beautiful young lady. Dating though is kinda scary for all of us!
I got to enjoy an extra day off with the kids yesterday, thank you President's Day. Sloan and O were here in the morning and O and I listened to music and to Day 1 of a new bible study I am doing - 40 days of love. Sloan got to sleep in, she needed it...she was getting crabby from staying up too late from their mid-winter break. Linni and MJ went outside to ride their bikes and play in the dirt. Sloan, Olivia and I watched more of the movie, Cider House Rules. It definitely has some parts that I don't think are appropriate but I was there to explain things to them, I think that's ok. It gives us a chance to talk about subjects we don't talk about and it's coming from me instead of them watching alone or with friends. John came to pick up Sloan and O and Linni, MJ and I had delicious lasagna leftovers for lunch then we decided to go on an adventure. We hit the streets and went to Wind up Here, the best toy store in Olympia. It was MJ's first experience there and he loved it!
As we were walking by some of the toys, MJ said "Oh wow, I haven't seen one of these in ages!" Linni and I were cracking up!
We tried all of the toys and wound up everything we could and watched them walk, flip or wobble. I think I enjoy that toy store just as much as the kids, I had never been in a cool toy store like that until I had kids of my own...we didn't have anything like that where I grew up. (I know, such a hillbilly) We went to Ross next and looked at toys and ended up getting a badmitten set. So when it gets a little warmer outside, we can have tournaments in our backyard we just need 3 extra rackets for all of us to play.
Linni helped me in the toy store, she plays and talks to MJ so much. I know she gets frustrated with him at times but we all do. :) She is such a great girl, helps clean up, sets the table and I've been teaching her to cook lately too, she really loves it and she's very good! She said to me last night, "we've been having such good dinner lately, I wonder what we're having tomorrow." ha ha, she had just finished eating and she's wondering what we're having next. We're definitely related!! :) I love that girl! 
Olivia spent a lot of this past weekend with her friend, Savanna who is moving to Hawaii next week. It's her best friend, they are really going to miss each other! We've cried and talked about it a lot lately. I feel so bad for her, she wasn't prepared for this and didn't think it was going to happen until next year. I know she'll find another best friend, she's such a loving person and wonderful friend!
Oh, after reading what Pito means on urbandictionary.com, I've decided to start calling him MJ. (Marcus Junior) The switch isn't going to be an easy one, but I never really liked the nickname Pito that much anyways. He thinks MJ is an ok nickname, after talking to him about all of his options, he came to the decision that MJ is pretty cool.I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family, we have the most amazing kids and having a husand like Marcus is my dream come true! (he said after reading this...and an occasional nightmare. I was thinking maybe like the start of a bad dream but waking up before it gets too bad) :)
