Love at First Sight!

It was truly love at first sight when I saw a picture of MJ's new best buddy! :) I couldn't resist and when he had hives a few weeks ago, he told me all about a new fluffy kitten that we were going to get for him! I'm weak!! It's the cutest little thing ever though and very loving and playful!

PS. We also caught our first raccoon in the trap last night. One down, four (thousand) to go! We're going to try and keep this cat as an indoor cat though so we don't risk another loss!

"Dear old Dad" turned 57

My Dad, Papa or Big Richie, as Marcus calls him turned 57 on Sunday, September 28th! I just want to say what a joy it's been having you in our lives Dad, I probably don't say it enough but I feel truly blessed that you are here in Washington with us and so very thankful for everything you do!! It's wonderful to see you and Pito as best buddies and see how much you love & care for him, spending all day, every day with him pretty much...even when we are home from work, he misses his papa and just heads down to your house as he pleases...and most of the time is greeted in a pleasing way. You have offered me wisdom beyond belief, even without knowing that's what you were doing and sometimes not wanting to delve into the topics that I'm bringing up. I can always count on you to be honest with me and offer advice to me as a mom, daughter and even wife, I love you SO BIG!!!
PS. I even made the font big enough for you not to have to wear your glasses when I make you read my blog.
