Days to Remember...by the Sledge's

Christmas and Mt. Rainier

We had a great Christmas this year, I feel blessed to spend Christmas with my Dad & Marcus' parents and Grandma. And of course to have such a wonderful Husband and Children is a gift from God as well! A couple days before Christmas, we did a neat thing and Marcus made yummy homemade soup for us to go downtown as a family and hand out soup to anyone in need. Linni and O decorated the containers and it was heart-warming to see them so excited to do this. Afterwards, we all (including my Dad) went to look at a few of our favorite places that decorate their homes with crazy lights. My favorite was the place with the disco balls.
On Christmas Eve, we went to Jackie and Turk's for dinner, Matt came home and we all went to church together. (We checked out some cool lights on the way home and Pito was entertaining because of his reaction everytime he sees a home with even a few lights.) It was nice to go back to the "old" church as we all call it and see all of our church family, it made us really miss Bruce & Co. We found out that they are going to start a Sat night service so we'll be able to go back soon! Matt, Marcus and I decided to give their parents the gift we got them. A LCD HDTV, they were thrilled! It was great to see them so exictied and surprised! After Marcus and Matt set it up, we let the kids open a few small things and then we all got ready for bed...we were ALL tired and excited. :)
We had a wonderful Christmas, it was a little strange for Sloan and O not to wake up with us but they were there before 11 so it wasn't too bad! Jackie made a beautiful Christmas dinner and I have to mention Grandma's wonderful desserts, she always delights us sweet tooth's!
The next day, Marcus, O, Linni, her friend Hannah, Pito and I went to the Mountain to try out the new sled that the kids got from Santa. :) It was soooo cold and windy, lots of snow...Pito and I didn't last too long so we spent some quality time together in the Navi eating junk and more junk! After Pito got cold, he said "I didn't even want to come here...you should've let me stay with Papa!" Marcus said he was thinking the same thing, he could be laying on the couch watching college basketball. We all had a nice day though, next time...we'll have to come better prepared and pick a less windy day.

Pito got hungry and before he could eat more junk food, we told him he had to have something real and he came out of the kitchen with this...it was hilarious!
