Days to Remember...by the Sledge's

Our House

Our house is a pitiful one today, let me go back a few days. I got a voice mail from Marcus when I was at Sloan's game on Friday that he had taken himself to the ER after he had been in serious pain all day. He thought it was his back but the Dr. said he had kidney stones and he'd have to pass it before he would experience any relief. She gave him percocet and he's been taking that since Friday evening every four hours. He is in so much pain, nothing really any of us can do except for him to strain his urine and wait for it to pass.

Fast forward to Sunday, My dad, the girls and I had the big Vikings game on and we were prepped with delicious food and ready to beat the Saints so we could see our team play the Colts in the Superbowl. My dad had a horrible headache when he woke up so he was watching from downstairs and we had Turk, Jackie, Marcus' friend Kyle and 2 of Sloan's friend's, Alexi and Aija over for the experience where I acted like the insane person that I I can sometimes be. The game went into overtime and the Saints scored a game winning field goal to end the Vikings season. I complained about poor decisions, numerous turn-over's and of course horrible calls by the refs late in the game but I'm moving on and Marcus and I are going to watch the movie, Anger Management tonight and unwind from this year's football season.

Sloan woke up sick this morning with the same symptoms that Olivia and Pito had last week and she was throwing up by 8 am and tried to go to school anyways. (which she shouldn't have done) because she was home by nine and is now sleeping. Marcus is going to take care of her the best he can as she has a big game against Thurston (her old teammates) tomorrow that we're hoping she's healthy for. My dad is also ill with the same thing and I had to work as I missed 2 days taking care of the little man last week when he was sickies. So now, we have Marcus with his kidney stone, Sloan and my dad throwing up and little Marcus running the household. Scary thought! I hope to be able to love everyone back to health tonight. Hopefully Linni and O are up to the challenge with me.
