he first day of school is always so emotional for me...the girls are growing up into lovely young ladies! Olivia is wearing the same shoe size as me, which I'll keep undisclosed per her wishes. She has braces and still has her summer glow, Linni is fixing her hair in the mornings and getting beautiful along side Sloan and O and Sloan is standing tall, she's at least 5' 9 and she is absolutely gorgeous! They all put together such great outfits and help each other along the way. (at least for the first day) Sloan and O have tough schedules and Linni will get a lot more homework this year...if I remember correctly. :) It was pouring when we left this morning, so I got as close as I could so they could stay dry. Marcus got up and made a super breakfast, pancakes, sausage, hash browns and juice and all three of them made it out of the house without forgetting their lunches. I feel like ice cube but I have to say...that today was a good day!
First Day of School 2010 - Pretty Girls
Here are a couple highlights of the girls' summer. Sloan took and graduated from driver's ed. She has her permit and is eligible for her license on January 27, 2011. (she knows the exact date) She went to team camp at Western Washington University, did great and had fun! She is dating a sophomore from Olympia high school who plays on the football team and Friday night is the big rivalry game, Olympia vs. Capital and Sloan decided she's wearing Olympia gear. Yikes!
Olivia went to her first NBC basketball camp and did excellent! She is playing with an AAU competitive team and loving every minute of it. She beat a sophomore the other day, playing one on one and hasn't stopped talking about it yet. She was in a play, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and she played an umpa lumpa, a reporter and a school girl. It was a great play and she made a few good friends with some of the other actors.
They went to Spokane and spent time with their cousins and we also spent more time with my brother and family. The twins are huge now, Wyatt is 18 lbs and Hudson 14, I think. Moya is learning all sorts of new stuff and doing great (check out her blog for a fundraiser that they're doing to help finance a medical procedure in Germany http://wastdenisfam.blogspot.com/ ) and Rena is in 1st grade this year. Jaime is losing baby weight and looks beautiful and we took Soren and Dad to a Twins vs. Mariner's game and had great seats!
Linni spent a lot of time with her friend Hannah that she's been friends with from Lacey Elementary. Hannah has a swimming pool so many hot days were spent at their pool and they are a wonderful family and always seem to be doing something fun! We had planned on signing her up for cooking classes but the classes were completely full. She helped me cook a lot, she does such a great job! She is interested in playing fast pitch so we'll get her on a team this year. We pitched her balls in the back yard, I think she'll really like it and be good! The summer went by so fast!
